Steps

Connect Powtoon to Clever

  1. In Clever, go to the App Gallery.
  2. Search for Powtoon.
  3. Select Install now.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setup.

Add students to Powtoon

  1. Add Powtoon to your Clever connection.
  2. Make sure your roster file is included.
  3. Confirm that the students in your roster file are added to your Powtoon Classroom account.

Have students access Powtoon

  1. Have students log in to Clever.
  2. In Clever, have them select the Powtoon icon.
  3. If you have already logged in at least once, students can also sign in directly from Powtoon using Clever SSO.

Review student work

  1. Open Class in the navigation menu.
  2. Go to My Classroom to view assignments students submitted to you.

Submit student assignments

  1. Have students open their personal My Powtoons page.
  2. From there, they can submit assignments to you.

Classroom notes

  • A classroom can have more than one teacher. When another teacher joins an existing classroom, that teacher is treated as a co-teacher.
  • Teachers and students can belong to more than one classroom.
  • Students do not need a separate license. The Powtoon subscription includes unlimited student licenses.
  • During the 3-month free trial, teachers and students have access to premium content.
  • If your school does not purchase a plan after the trial, created Powtoons stay in Powtoon’s database for 45 days and are then permanently deleted.
  • If you purchase a subscription before the 45-day period ends, the Powtoons created by teachers and students return to their accounts.
  • If a student moves to another school that uses Powtoon in the Clever network, the student’s Powtoons and media move automatically to the new classroom.
