Review notes
- Source article does not explain whether grouping is available for all object types or any plan-based limitations, so this draft stays general.
- No internal URLs were provided for related articles, so the related links are suggested as plain article titles only.
- The source only states that clicking outside the selection rectangle ungroups objects; it does not describe a dedicated ungroup command.
Summary
Group objects on the Stage when you want to apply the same action to multiple items at once. After you group them, you can move, copy, resize, format, or delete them together.
Before you start
- Open the Powtoon Studio project that contains the objects you want to group.
- Make sure the objects are on the Stage.
Steps
- Select the objects you want to group.
- If the objects are next to each other, drag a selection rectangle around them.
- If the objects are not next to each other, select the first object, then hold Shift and select the other objects.
- Confirm that the objects are selected together.
- A selection rectangle appears around the grouped objects.
- Perform the action you want on the grouped objects.
- For example, move them, copy them, change their size, apply the same formatting, or delete them.
- Ungroup the objects when you no longer want to edit them as a set.
- Click anywhere outside the selection rectangle.
What happens next
Once the objects are grouped, any supported action you take applies to the full group. When you click outside the selection rectangle, the objects are no longer grouped for editing.
