If you want to use the new character animations, you need an Agency Subscription.
If you are working with custom characters, create them in Character Builder first.

Open the project and go to the slide you want to edit.
Add the audio files you want to use on that slide.
Set the volume for each audio file separately.
Adjust the start time and end time for each audio track or voice-over file.
If you want to use the new character motion options, open Character Builder and select a custom character.
Apply one of the new animated poses for male or female characters.
Save your changes.

Your slide uses the audio settings you set for each track, and your custom character can use the new animated pose if your subscription includes it.
